Tuition for Individual Lessons
For individual, private lessons, tuition is due based upon the number of lessons for that month, at the first lesson.  Monthly tuition is paid in advance of the month’s lessons.
Tuition is based upon enrollment, not attendance.
Individual, private classical guitar lessons are offered by open enrollment.  Classes may be registered for at any time.  If a student begins lessons in the middle of the month, that month will be prorated for the amount of lessons remaining before the beginning of the first full month of classes.

Tuition For Programs and Classes
For Music Performance Programs and Classes, tuition is due at the beginning of the term, in full.  Payment agreements are available on a case-by-case basis.  If you are accepted into a payment agreement, tuition is due based up the payment agreement.
Payment agreements may be available for students and parents who are not able to pay tuition in full at the beginning of a term.  Please inquire with Ms. Ross if you need to enter a Payment Agreement.
Tuition is based upon enrollment, not attendance.

Payment Forms
Cash or check payments made in person are preferred for tuition.  However, we do accept all major credit and debit cards through PayPal.

Late Payment Policy and Fees
Monthly students:  A $45 charge will be added to your account for late payments.  A payment is considered late if it is not received at the first lesson of the month.  There are no exceptions.  If payment has not been received within 7 days after the first lesson, the student’s account will be suspended and all lessons will be canceled.  The account may be lifted from suspension by paying the balance due in full.  If the balance due is not paid within 30 days after the due date, the student account will go to collections and further legal action may be taken.
Program students:  A $145 charge will be added to your account for late payments.  A payment is considered late if it is not received at the first lesson of the term.  There are no exceptions.  If payment has not been received within 7 days after the first lesson of the term, the student’s account will be suspended and all lessons and/or classes will be canceled for that student.  The account may be lifted from suspension by paying the balance due in full.  If the balance due is not paid within 30 days after the due date, the student’s account will go to collections and further legal action may be taken.

Suspension/Dismissal/Expulsion
The Ross School of Classical Guitar reserves the right to suspend, dismiss, and/or expel any student due to frequent absences, disciplinary problems, late payments, parental and/or student non-compliance of policy, or for any reason the school deems fitting.

Insufficient Class or Program Enrollment
If any class or program does not have a sufficient amount of students enrolled,  Ross School of Classical Guitar reserves the right to cancel that class or program and provide those who have pre-paid a refund, offer the class with an adjusted rate of tuition, change the length and/or number of classes, or transfer the student to individual lessons.

Late Arrival
Students arriving late for their lesson or to class will not have their lesson time extended nor will any make-up time be offered.  Students who arrive to their lesson or to class will not have their lesson time extended nor will any make-up time be offered.  Students who arrive to their Individual Private Lesson more than 15 minutes late will be considered absent and the lesson will be canceled.  There will be no make-up lesson nor refund for the missed lesson.

Student Lesson Cancellation
Lessons canceled by the student for any reason other than illness will not be made-up, nor will a refund be given for the canceled lesson.  All Program classes will operate on schedule whether students choose to show or not.  Classes cannot be made-up and tuition will not be adjusted for missed classes or lessons.

Student Illness
Individual Private Lessons: If a lesson is canceled by the student 24hrs before the Individual Private lesson due to illness, the School may choose to either re-schedule the lesson or provide a refund for the missed lesson.  If a lesson is canceled by the student less than 24hrs before the Individual Private lesson, a refund will not be provided and it is at the School’s discretion whether to schedule a make-up lesson or not.  If a student shows to a lesson and is visibly ill, the Ross School of Classical Guitar reserves the right to cancel the lesson and immediately send the student home.  If the school chooses to dismiss a student from the lesson, a refund for the missed Individual Private Lesson will be provided or a make-up lesson will be scheduled at the School’s discretion.
Program Students and Classes:  Please see the Student Illness section of your program or class Pamphlet.

Student Withdrawal
Non-attendance and non-payment does not constitute withdrawal from lessons.  Charges to the student’s account will continue to accrue unless the student or student’s guardian provides written notice to the School or the School suspends the student’s account.  Prepaid tuition will not be refunded.  Non-attendance and non-payment does not constitute withdrawal from lessons.  Charges to the student’s account will continue to accrue unless the student or student’s guardian provides written notice to the School or the School suspends the student’s account.  Prepaid tuition will not be refunded.
To discontinue lessons and suspend account charges, please notify Jennifer Ross in writing or by email at least seven days before the withdrawal date.  All loaned materials and equipment must be returned to the School by the withdrawal date or the student’s account will be charged the replacement cost of the material and equipment.  Accounts that are not paid in full seven days after the withdrawal date will be considered delinquent.  After 30 days of delinquency, further legal action and the cost of such action may be sought.

Instructor Absences
In the event of an instructor absence, the School reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute instructor.  If a qualified substitute instructor is not available, the class or lesson may be rescheduled to a later date.  For Individual Private Lessons, the lesson may be refunded instead of rescheduled at the School’s discretion.

Inclement Weather
Due to the location of the Ross School of Classical Guitar, it is very likely the school will be forced to close due to inclement weather and road conditions.  Mrs. Ross does not drive on ice or snow, if the roads look like she would not drive on them, then the School will close and notification will be provided via e-mail, phone call, and posted on our website.  If the school is closed due to inclement weather, students may be invited to private and/or group make-up lessons.  Individual Private Lessons may be refunded instead, at the School’s discretion.

Holiday Closure
The Ross School of Classical Guitar’s holiday closures are similar to those of the Battle Ground Public School District.  Program and group class rates have already been calculated for holiday closures.  For students on month-to-month Individual Private Lesson plans, the tuition will be calculated by how many lessons the student receives that month.

Student Drop-off
We do not allow students 17 years of age or younger to be dropped off.  A parent or guardian must be present during all lessons and classes.
