Here is a handy list of local organizations and businesses for classical guitar student and player interests:

The Portland Guitar Society
"PGS is a monthly meeting free to the public providing two hours of guitar music. It’s also a nonprofit membership organization providing a place to meet other players, makers, and teachers, and it's a friendly place to discover and share new tunes, techniques, and styles.  We welcome all kinds of music and all skill levels. Meetings start with open mic time and end with a half-hour Featured Performer set."

Classical Revolution PDX
"Classical Revolution PDX is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching and educating our community by making classical music accessible to the public. We allow people to hear classical music in their everyday lives by taking chamber music out of the recital hall and playing it in alternative venues. We strive to preserve and revitalize classical music to make the public aware that this music can be enjoyed by anyone. It is our goal to broaden the definition of chamber music and make it a vibrant part of our community. We believe that when we play chamber music, we create that community, and anyone can be involved regardless of income, race, class, gender or age."

U.S. Classic Guitar
"U.S. Classic Guitar serves a local and international community of guitarists and guitar music fans in three important ways. We are an elite teaching studio, where students of all ages and skill levels receive a unique and integrated classical guitar experience through a combination of private lessons, opportunities to perform in quarterly student recitals, participation in guitar ensembles, and exposure to the Portland International Guitar series and the new up and coming Hawaii International Guitar Series—where students can meet and learn from some of the premiere guitarists in the world."

Oregon Chamber Players
Junior Symphony of Vancouver
"The Junior Symphony of Vancouver was founded by Timoteus Racz, and we had our Debut Concert on December 4, 1999. Since his untimely passing in 2012, his friend and colleague, Collin Heade, has taken on the role of JSV Conductor to keep the legacy alive.  Please join us as we celebrate music in SW Washington, and please help us to support the future of music in this community by being a participant, attending our concerts, and/or making donations!"

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra
"This year The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra celebrates thirty-nine years of providing symphonic music to the community. Its success is due to the talent and commitment of the early conductors and musicians who provided its foundation. In the beginning, a collection of talented men and women in Southwest Washington belonged to and performed with several musical groups who loved to play for people who appreciated music."

Portland Youth Philharmonic
"In 1924, a group of visionary citizens established the Portland Junior Symphony Association (later renamed the Portland Youth Philharmonic Association or PYP for short). Building on the pioneering work of Mary V. Dodge, whose Irvington School Orchestra was the nucleus of the first Junior Symphony, the Association engaged Russian émigré Jacques Gershkovitch as conductor. PYP is the oldest youth orchestra in the United States. The structure and standards that it established for training young musicians in the 1920s became the prototype for youth orchestras across the country."
