Unique and beautiful, this art guitar has a vibrant nighttime scene with distant mountains, a peaceful lake, Autumn and evergreen trees, a rustic cabin, and stars in the sky. Metallic touches of gold appear throughout the forest. The scene was hand drawn with oil based permanent ink markers; then finished with a textured, polishable, glossy sealant. The rest of the guitar is painted a dark cedar red with a glossy finish. It really stands out from across the room.
The interior guitar label is signed, numbered, and titled "Midnight Mountains" by me, Jennifer Ross. This is guitar #1 for 2019.
This is a nylon string classical guitar made by Aiersi. I would say it is more like a hobby or beginner guitar comparable to the First Act brand of guitars. The guitar top, sides, and body are made of solid linden wood and the neck is black maple. It is full size, 39" 650 mm string scale, with classic fan sound bracing. There is a truss rod in the neck with access from the tone hole. The fingerboard and bridge are mahogany, painted black. The nut and saddle are plastic. The machine head is generic with chrome plated finish and faux bone tuners (plastic-abs).
Though this painted guitar was created to be decor on a wall, it is playable. However, the tone production of the instrument was not a priority. The guitar is made of solid linden wood (basswood), which is known for a warm, balanced sound. When played it is very quiet and soft. I dropped the action as far down as I feel is possible without string buzz.
This guitar does not come with a case or gig bag.
