Biography of Classical Guitarist Rose Bennet:
Rosie Bennet began playing classical guitar at the age of seven, studying at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School of Music in Surrey on a scholarship funded by The Rolling Stones. She continued with a Bachelor of Music degree with studies spread across four schools – The Royal Conservatory of the Hague with Zoran Dukic, Fontys School of Arts in Tilburg with Johan Fostier, The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with Rene Izquierdo, and LUCA School of Arts in Leuven with Raphaella Smits. She has performed both solo and in chamber music performances at Wigmore Hall, London, the Open Guitar Festival in Křivoklát, Czech Republic, Glasgow's Big Guitar Weekend, Scotland, Porziano Music Festival, Italy and the West Dean Guitar Festival, UK.
Ms. Bennet writes a weekly article for Tonebase called “The Millennial Edit” where she discusses the traditions of the classical music world with a millennial viewpoint. Rosie also interviews artists from diverse backgrounds for a privately sponsored YouTube series named “In Interview”.
