Windmill Wrist Guitar Player Hand Exercise

The Windmill Wrist Guitar Player Hand Exercise is a great exercise to warm up, loosen, and prepare  the muscles in the wrist joint.  Perform this exercise before practice to help reduce injury to the wrist.  Move slowly to ensure a good stretch and reduce the risk of injury.  You can download a free, printable .pdf for this exercise here: Windmills-Guitar-Player-Hand-Exercise.pdf or right click and save the image below.

With your palms facing away from you, slowly rotate the wrist in a clockwise motion.

Repeat this exercise nine more times for a total of ten clockwise rotations.  Then, perform this exercise in the counter-clockwise direction for ten rotations per hand.
